Personal As half-Dutch, half-Belgian, I was born and raised in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. I am married and the proud mother of a son and a daughter (2019 and 2020).

Education Medicine at Maastricht University (2007-2013).

Specialisation Gynaecology & obstetrics, Máxima Medisch Centre Veldhoven en Maastricht University Medical Centre (The Netherlands).

Subspecialisation Fellowship prenatal ultrasound and high-risk obstetrics, Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam.

PhD 2017: “The prospects of fetal electrocardiography during pregnancy and labour”, Technical University Eindhoven. This research concerns an innovative way of monitoring the baby during both pregnancy and delivery.

Career From 2024 onwards I have been working as a MIC-doctor (Maternal Intensive Care) at the Sint-Augustinus hospital in Wilrijk. Here I receive patients who are referred for expertise ultrasounds and we care for admitted patients at the MIC.
